mozilla firebird

I just discovered a “standalone” web browser from Mozilla called “Mozilla Firebird.” You can download the latest version from the Mozilla site if you’re interested in trying it out. All you need to do is download it, uncompress it, and run the executable named “MozillaFirebird.exe”. Firebird supports multiple web pages on different “tabs” all within the same browser window and has decent built-in pop-up suppression — two good reasons to check it out. All-in-all, it’s a lot like the full-blown version of Mozilla without the cruft. On a related note, I’m also using the “Thunderbird” newsreader, which can be downloaded from the location noted above and installed in the same manner. So far it’s working well.
