Merry Christmas! I’ve been on vacation since Friday and so far it’s been great. I’ve mainly been hanging out with Heidi and riding bike. Last night we saw The Good Shepherd, which I thought was really good. Granted, at a sometimes slow 3 hours, it’s probably not for everyone, but I really liked it. (BTW, we saw a trailer for The Children of Men, which looked very good. We’ll probably try to see it before our holiday break is over.)
This morning we woke up early and went on a bike ride down the coast. The weather was gorgeous and it was crystal clear down by the water. The break between the ocean and the sky looked like someone snapped a line between the two. On our way back home we stopped for a juice and watched some shoppers race around for their last-minute gifts.
Heidi is whipping up a raw Christmas Eve meal, which includes homemade tortilla chips — the first “yield†from our new Excalibur dehydrator. After we eat we’re going over to one of our friends’ house for a glass of wine before we head to church. Then it’s home for presents and eggnog.
