We had a pretty awesome Thanksgiving this year. Colleen Brand, Heidi’s step-mom, came from Kansas on Tuesday and stayed with us until Sunday. My folks drove over from Yuma on Wednesday and also stayed with us until Sunday. It was really nice having a full house. We really had a great time. (We even did the Oceanside Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving.
My dad and I worked on some stuff around the house and spent nearly an entire day working on our new motorcycles. (We did our first oil change, put crash bars on, and added some other accessories.) We rode 150 miles on Saturday with my friend, Keith, who also has a brand new KLR. We went through Cleveland National Forest north of Fallbrook and then through Temecula and Rainbow. It was a great ride.
We capped off the break today by dropping Colleen off at the airport (around 5:00am) and then did our long run (11 miles) for the week down by the harbor.
Now it’s back to work….
