Heidi and I were able to get registered for the 2010 Coeur d’Alene Ironman last Monday — about five minutes after registration opened. (From what we’ve heard IM races usually fill up a week or so after registration opens. And it usually opens a year before the event….) I think we’re both pretty excited, but also a little scared at how big of a commitment this is going to be. But, I guess that’s what’s so cool about racing an Ironman. If it weren’t harder than hell, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
I’m thinking about blogging about it in a much more serious way than I currently blog about stuff. Perhaps even a steady stream of daily updates once I get into the thick of things. I hate to commit to something and then not be able to pull it off, but I think I’d really like to capture (and share) some details about the experience. Heck, this may be the only IM I ever do so I’m going to try to make the most of it.
At any rate, look for some more details very soon.
